Do something sustainable?
So you're worried about international conflict due to dwindling oil supplies / increasing freak weather events due to man-made climate change / food supplies at risk / polluted air and water / the end of the world being nigh... ? You feel like you might be part of the problem, but you're still working out how to play your part in the solution?
We reckon that a social, healthy activity like salsa dancing is a brilliant way to enjoy life whilst living in harmony with our home, the Earth. (Other stuff like joining a sports team is great too, it's just that we happen to like dancing.)
Go to a UK salsa weekender instead of taking that European flight! Generate so much body heat in darkest January that you have to open the windows, never mind just turning off the heating! Spend Saturday afternoon partying at a sexy Cuban Rumba workshop instead of going out to buy Yet More Stuff! You won't even notice that you're saving the planet in the process.
And if you want to know why we think this is important? Find out more at:
- Home - 90 minute film illustrating how we depend on the Earth's life support systems and how they are under pressure
- Rite2no - a short and highly watchable explaination of climate change, by young people, for young people
